Ajay Vidyasagar moves to Sun TV as COO

Former STAR India hand Ajay Vidyasagar has joined the Sun TV Network as its chief operating officer. He will be based out of the network's head office in Chennai. Commenting about the new appointment, Vidyasagar says, "In my new role as COO for Sun TV, I have to run the network in addition to managing its business. I'm looking forward to doing some exciting work in this company."

Former STAR India hand Ajay Vidyasagar has joined the Sun TV Network as its chief operating officer. He will be based out of the network's head office in Chennai. Commenting about the new appointment, Vidyasagar says, "In my new role as COO for Sun TV, I have to run the network in addition to managing its business. I'm looking forward to doing some exciting work in this company."

Vidyasagar had joined STAR 14 years ago, in 1996, where he had worked in the ad sales and marketing team. He has also been associated with Channel [V] as its commercial director  and headed Vijay TV in the south. Eventually, he was elevated to head of marketing and channel communications for the STAR network. He was appointed as president-content and new media in 2007. For a brief period of one year, he had quit STAR to join Worldspace Radio but eventually moved back.
