Why did you get into advertising?

I hate formal clothes.

One thing you love about your job?
We live in boxes. It’s nice to work out of one.

One thing you hate about your job?
When some people think of it as only a job.

If it wasn't for advertising, what would you be doing?
Shoe design.

One seemingly bizarre brief you'd want to execute some day?
A well-written one.

A campaign you wish you'd done?
The Cannes Gold winning ‘flags’ campaign for Grande Reportagem Magazine by Icaro Doria.

One person outside of advertising you want to have dinner with? Why?
Zodiac the serial killer - he was ballsy and brilliant. I’ll also find out who he is/was.

The best job outside advertising?
Being the President of Samoa.

One lasting memory from your very first day/week/month in advertising?
To break some ice, my kiwi class mates at ad school in New Zealand told me they knew the word ‘bhen****’

What did your parents say when you joined advertising?
Why copywriter? Why don’t you want to write something original.

Best on-the-job excuse ever?
I wasn’t sleeping, I was thinking.
