O&M’s Rohit Dhamija and Ritu Sinha have been declared the winners in the AAAI-Cannes Young Creatives Contest 2008 (see picture).The team will be the official Indian team to take part in the Young Creatives Contest 2008 at Cannes. Tanika Jalan and Rashi Goel from Media Direction have won the Young Media Lions Competition 2008 to represent India in the International Young Lions Media Contest at this year’s Cannes Advertising Festival.
Both the contests are initiated by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) with support of The Times Group. The theme for the creative contest was ‘Save The Tiger’ and the theme for the media competition was ‘Young India Votes’.
Vinod Nair, AAAI executive committee member and currently in charge of this initiative of the AAAI, was the convener of the creative contest. The jury members for creative contest include Josy Paul, of BBDO India, Narayan Kumar of TBWA Anthem and Ravi Deshpande of Contract Advertising. The jury for media competition include Sam Balsara of Madison World, Shashi Sinha of Lodestar Universal, Vikram Sakhuja of GroupM and Lynn de Souza of Lintas Media Group.
