21N78E has bagged the creative and media mandate for IONA. IONA is an entertainment zone that combines gaming, adventure and sports using technology.
 
The agency’s Bengaluru office will handle the account.
 
West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle, an investor in the firm, will be brand ambassador. IONA’s first outlet is present in Virginia Mall, Bengaluru. The brand aims to expand across India and internationally now. 
 
Subramanian, director, IONA Entertainment, said “IONA is a game changer with an interesting model and is poised for huge growth given the need for entertainment that exists. Unfortunately the current options available hasn’t kept pace with this need. We wanted an agency who could think entertainment and push the envelope on communicating the unique experience that people can get at IONA. We liked the way 21N78E approached the brief through its planning and thereby the creative manifestation. The ideas were very cutting edge and we hope to make the whole experience come alive.”

21N78E started its Bengalaru operations in April 2017. It is headed by Don Bosco, branch head, Bengalaru and national head – strategic planning.
