Pepsi has announced that it has signed on Unmukt Chand, the cricketer who led India to victory in the under-19 World Cup in 2012, as brand ambassador. Chand joins Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli in the brand's latest ad film. This follows the film that launched its 'Oh Yes Abhi' positioning featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Mahendra Singh Dhoni,

In the new TVC, Chand is shown walking past the senior team’s dressing room, when he spots a refrigerator full of Pepsi. He stops by, and grabs a bottle. Just as he's about to drink, Dhoni tells Chand he'll have to wait for his chance to pick up a bottle from the senior dressing room. Chand questions this. Raina and Kohli then appear and try to bully the youngster. Chand isn't perturbed by them and uses his wit to get out of the situation and drink the Pepsi.

The film went on air on 1 March.

On the association with Chand and the new campaign, Homi Battiwalla, senior director, marketing (colas, juices and hydration), PepsiCo India, said, “Pepsi is known to be the first brand to identify youth icons early in time and tap talent with tremendous potential and credibility. We are proud to associate with Unmukt Chand, who truly reflects Pepsi’s Oh Yes Abhi! attitude and are confident that he will lead the next generation of players who personify the same philosophy."

He added, “Our latest campaign takes forward the ‘Oh Yes Abhi’ philosophy and brings alive Unmukt’s impatient moments in his first ever ad film with MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina. The film showcases the young emerging star impatient to be a part of the Indian cricket team which exemplifies our positioning in a fun and exciting manner.”

Surjo Dutt, executive creative director, JWT India, said, "The young cricket star Unmukt Chand shows his impatient side in a refreshing and cool manner, bringing alive the philosophy of Oh Yes Abhi.”
