Leveraging the FIFA World Cup, gaming company EA Sports has rolled out an online campaign for the American market, led by a 90-seconder. The film has been created by Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam.

Through the campaign, EA Sports is looking to appeal to ‘every American’ - cowboys, astronauts, cheer leaders, NFL players and surfers included. Set to the song ‘I am a Real American’, the film features these characters on a football field, engaged in a ‘soccer’ match. It ends with this appeal to every citizen, to encourage the American soccer team: ‘The FIFA 2014 World Cup. It’s in your hands.’

This is football weekend. Have a beautiful one.
