The documentary will air on 29 August 2015

Girl Rising, a global campaign highlighting the necessity of educating the girl child, will air the documentary Girl Rising, Woh Padegi, Woh Udegi (2013) on Star Plus on 29 August, when Raksha Bandhan is celebrated in India.

The film has been directed by Academy Award nominee Richard E Robbins, with the Hindi version featuring Bollywood actors such as Priyanka Chopra, Freida Pinto, Nandita Das, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.
