Telugu actor Ram Charan Tej and Tamil actor Vijay feature in two separate TVCs for Tata Docomo that have been launched in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu respectively.

The films have been developed on the thought of Tata Docomo bringing your world together through a network that connects always and wherever you are. The TVCs have identical storylines and show how the actors gang up with their friends on the Tata Docomo network to engage in a water balloon fight with a rival group.

Commenting on the TVCs, Sanjay Tandon, chief operating officer, DraftFCB Ulka, said, “These are engaging campaigns for the Tata Docomo brand, strengthening bonds with our consumers by inviting them to a cheerful, refreshingly different world.”

Vasudha Misra, creative director, DraftFCB Ulka, added, “The challenge here was how to incorporate these southern megastars and present them in our signature, tongue-in-cheek style.”

Commenting on the campaign, Ritesh Ghosal, head brand marketing, Tata Docomo, said, “AP and TN are two of our most important markets, so we identified stars who could help us drive our connect with the youth in these markets to the next level. It was challenging to re-interpret these extablished stars in a manner consistent with our brand’s conversation with the consumers till date. With the help of FCB, we have managed to strike the right balance between the youth-ful iconoclastic energy of Tata Docomo and the larger-than-life stature of the stars.”
