MMGB: Tata Capital pushes for 'equal spends' at Indian weddings

Watch the film conceptualised by Indigo Consulting here

Tata Capital has rolled out a social media campaign called #WedEqual.

The light-hearted film looks to promote Tata Capital's 'wedding loans' offerings. It features stand-up comedians Anubhav Pal and Mallika Dua. It shows Dua as the bride's mother and Pal as the groom's father. Accompanied by a 'wedding expense' metre, the film shows how Dua pushes off most of the expenditure to the groom's family. The film ends with Tata Capital's message of 'equal expenditure' between both the families.

Abonty Banerjee, chief marketing and digital officer, Tata Capital, said, “A wedding is one of the most important events in a couple’s life and young India today has different aspirations about how their weddings should be. We at Tata Capital, with our #WedEqual campaign aim to break the traditional approach of unequal spending at weddings.   With Tata Capital’s wedding loans, couples can also plan their weddings without any financial pressure and make it truly special.”

Rajesh Ghatge, CEO, Indigo Consulting, added, “Cultural insights offer opportunities to create positive change. We use it as a fuel to spark ideas – ones which not only help our partner clients achieve business objectives, but also work towards changing behaviours."
