Flipkart brings sellers and customers onto the same page

Watch the films conceptualised by Vector Brand Solutions here

Flipkart has launched a series of ad films as part of the second phase of its ‘Kuch Khaas Kamao’ campaign for sellers on its marketplace.  The films aim to showcase how the e-commerce marketplace brings together services for its sellers and customers on a single platform.

The campaign consists of two films, each of which plays out across a split screen, simultaneously showcasing the buyer and seller journeys before and during an e-commerce transaction.

The first film unfolds simultaneously in a home décor store and the home of a customer as the latter accidentally breaks a delicate glass vase. In response, the seller immediately scouts for a similar vase even as the customer places an order for another vase of the same kind. The replacement takes place seamlessly and just in time as the customer's partner walks in to find nothing amiss in the house.

The second film showcases a college student sitting in his college canteen surrounded by an unappetising plate of idlis. As he tries to cut through the hard idlis, his displeasure is evident. At the same time on the right side of the frame is a seller with a well-stocked kitchenware store. Seizing the customer's discontent as an opportunity, the seller swiftly offers a brand-new idli maker as a solution to his 'idli-woes'.

Rakesh Krishnan, vice president and head of marketplace, Flipkart, said, "As a homegrown e-commerce marketplace, we are committed to fostering an environment where the sellers can get an opportunity to make their offerings accessible to customers across the country. Empowering sellers is at the heart of our 'Kuch Khaas Kamao' campaign. By leveraging Flipkart Seller Hub, our 1.4 million sellers unlock vast business opportunities and build enduring customer trust. It's a journey where reliability meets success, creating a win-win for sellers and customers."
