Flipkart steals the show from Alia Bhatt at a wedding

Watch the film conceptualised by Leo Burnett here

Flipkart has rolled out a campaign featuring actor Alia Bhatt that spotlights the e-commerce platform as a ‘one-stop-destination’ for every shopping occasion, including weddings.

Conceptualised by Leo Burnett, the film ‘mauka jo bhi ho, bas Flipkart karo’ (whatever the occasion, just Flipkart it) comprises two ad films that aim to leverage the ongoing wedding season by driving a connect with customers as they look to up their style and gifting game. The message is brought to life with a dash of humour through the films that showcase two different weddings featuring Bhatt as a wedding guest.

It features two different protagonists who steal the show at the respective events with their show-stopping style and ensembles that impress everyone present. With quirky interjections from Bhatt peppering the proceedings, the protagonists shock the onlookers with exclusive gifts to the newly-wed couple, which are revealed to be from the homegrown marketplace, and also the reason behind their dapper looks. Thus underscoring its choice as the preferred destination- be it for the ‘perfect’ wedding gift or other shopping needs - from fashion to electronics.

Pratik Arun Shetty, senior director - marketing, Flipkart, said, “At Flipkart, our focus has always been on enhancing the shopping journey for every Indian. Our latest campaign, 'Mauka jo bhi ho, bas Flipkart karo,' embodies this ethos. The ad films featuring Alia Bhatt spotlights Flipkart as the ultimate shopping destination for all your needs. We are thrilled to start the new year by celebrating Flipkart’s role in empowering shoppers to shine during every special occasion with perfect outfits and thoughtful gifts. With this, we invite everyone to discover the convenience and delight of shopping on Flipkart for any event.”

Mayuresh Dubhashi, group executive creative director, Leo Burnett said, “Sure, weddings are all about the bride and groom, but that doesn't mean the attendees can't leave a lasting impression here and there. Our campaign explores the modern day definition of putting your best foot forward at occasions like weddings, whether it be through a style statement or through the perfect wedding gift. The film featuring Alia Bhatt, really exemplifies the joy and ease of discovering fantastic deals and latest products on Flipkart, making it the first choice for every occasion.”
