Colors has a happy Navratri
Colors was back in the lead in the GEC stakes in week 39 with 263 GRPs (last week 279 GRPs) followed by STAR Plus with 254 GRPs (281 GRPs) and Zee TV with 221 GRPs (246 GRPs). Sony was at 143 GRPs while NDTV Imagine slipped below 100 to 94 GRPs. Real continues its miserable run with an all-time low of 4 GRPs. With India knocked out of the cricket, the GECs will continue to compete with each other rather than with cricket.Track GECs' performance in 2009:
Colors tops in blockbuster week
In a week that would have advertisers on GECs drooling, Colors was the top of the heap with 308 GRPs (284 GRPs in the previous week) according to TAM data for week 29. STAR Plus is in the number two slot despite jumping to 293 GRPs (287). Zee gained 7 GRPs to reach 266 GRPs, Sony went up to 142 GRPs from 120 and NDTV Imagine rose to 138 GRPs (126).
Top three GECs separated by 15 GRPs
The top three GECs, STAR Plus, Colors and Zee TV, are separated by 15 GRPs (HSM, CS 4+, TAM) in week 25. STAR Plus and Colors are neck and neck with 242 and 241 GRPs respectively. Zee TV is at 227 GRPs.NDTV Imagine follows with 104 GRPs. Colors continued to lead the GEC eyeballs race with 270 GRPs in week 23 (HSM, CS 4+, TAM) with STAR Plus climbing back to second place with 246 GRPs. Zee was 11 GRPs behind at 235 GRPs. NDTV Imagine stayed above the 100 mark with 106 GRPs while Sony slipped to 90 GRPs. STAR One registered 60 GRPs. Real continues to be viewerless, clocking just 13 GRPs for the week under review.
