Effies ’09: O&M is Agency of the Year, by a mile

Ogilvy and Mather (O&M) was declared Agency of the Year at Advertising Club Bombay’s Effies 2009 awards last evening.The awards which honour effectiveness in advertising, saw O&M (pictured above) take home 15 trophies (3 golds, 5 silvers and 5 bronzes) to amass 120 points, leaving other agencies behind by a large margin.O&M's client Vodafone Essar was declared the Client of the Year.

Effies '09 case studies: New venue, new theatrics

A total of 33 shortlisted case studies were presented on Monday as part of the Effies, the Advertising Club of Bombay’s annual awards for effectiveness in advertising.Most agencies began queuing up early morning for a dry run of their presentations at KC College’s Rama Watumull’s auditorium, a change from the Welingkar’s, which has hosted these presentations for the past few years.Attendance was low-key, but advertising professionals from Lowe Lintas, O&M, Mudra did show up to support their agencies.

Effie Awards 2009 to be announced on 16 December

The Advertising Club Bombay will host the Effie Awards 2009 on 16 December at Royal Western India Turf Club, 1st Enclosure, Race Course, Mahalaxmi at 6.45 pm. The awards will be given in seven categories along with Grand Effie, People’s Choice Award, Effie Agency of the Year, Effie Client of the Year, Marico Uncommon Sense Award, Yahoo! Effies 2009 shortlisted case studies announced

The Advertising Club Bombay has announced the shortlisted case studies for the 2009 edition of Effies, its annual awards for advertising effectiveness.A total of 52 case studies have made it to the shortlist. (Pictured above: Tata Tea's Jaago Re, one of the shortlisted case studies)
