Yas Island and Pickyourtrail launch AI-led campaign ‘Smash the Ordinary’

Yas Island Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Pickyourtrail, has launched ‘Smash the Ordinary’, a campaign featuring Bollywood actress Sahher Bambba and AI influencer Naina. The initiative marks a first-of-its-kind partnership that brings together real-world human experiences and artificial intelligence curiosity to create a new approach to travel storytelling and brand engagement.

The campaign unfolds through a series of Instagram reels that follow Bambba’s emotional journey across Yas Island’s major attractions, including Ferrari World Yas Island Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Yas Island Abu Dhabi. Alongside, Naina, the AI influencer, reflects on her fascination with human emotion and sensory experiences, creating a parallel narrative between technology and human exploration.

According to Liam Findlay, chief executive officer of Miral Destinations, the campaign embodies Yas Island’s commitment to innovation and experiential storytelling. “By bringing an AI influencer into real-world adventures, we’re redefining tourism storytelling through the perfect blend of innovation and human connection,” said Findlay.

Hari Ganapathy, co-founder of Pickyourtrail, highlighted the campaign’s focus on authenticity and personalisation in modern travel. “In today’s travel landscape, innovation and authentic experiences go hand in hand. The ‘Smash the Ordinary’ campaign beautifully demonstrates how AI can deepen our understanding and appreciation of human adventures. At Pickyourtrail, we love customising ‘sooper’ hit holidays that encourage travellers to see the world in new ways,” Ganapathy said.

As travel brands increasingly explore AI-driven storytelling, ‘Smash the Ordinary’ positions Yas Island as a destination leading the evolution of technology-led travel marketing. The campaign aims to inspire travellers through immersive, emotionally resonant content that bridges innovation and human experience.
