Warner Bros Discovery and Viacom18 enter content partnership for India

JioCinema will stream content from HBO, Max Original and Warner Bros from 1 May

Warner Bros Discovery and Viacom18 have entered a multi-year agreement, through which JioCinema has got access to stream content from HBO, Max Original and Warner Bros.
 
The deal commences from 1 May. The partnership includes content rights across digital and linear.
 
According to a release from Viacom18, it will premiere content on the same day as the USA. 
 
Clement Schwebig, president, India, Southeast Asia, and Korea, Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “Warner Bros Discovery’s brands are incredibly popular across India, and we are pleased to partner with Viacom18 to bring our premium HBO, Max Original and Warner Bros content to local fans. This new agreement demonstrates our commitment to South Asia as we seek to entertain audiences across more platforms, and further strengthens the scale of our regional business as a whole.”
