The English league season has come to an end, giving way for the season of transfer speculation to begin.
 
With managers sacked and teams underperforming over the course of last season, expect a very hectic summer of transfer activity.

Fulham has joined fellow Londoners Chelsea, to be the latest team to be without a manager. Following Carlo Ancelloti’s departure from Chelsea, Mark Hughes has quit from his position of manager at the Cottagers. Gerard Houllier has also left Aston Villa and amidst widespread speculation of Hughes taking up the reigns at Aston Villa, the Welshman has announced that he will not be joining the Villains. Aston Villa midfielder, Ashley Young is heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer with Manchester United and Liverpool leading the way for his signature. Real Madrid also seem or have seemed to be interested in signing the English winger, but according to Young’s team mate, Darren Bent, it seems like the midfielder prefers staying in England. Liverpool will look to be putting a disappointing sixth place finish in the league behind them with some major big name signings over the summer. But midfielder Jordan Henderson will not be on their summer shopping list with Sunderland not wanting to sell their big star. Read more here.
