TBWA\India has announced the appointment of Arindam Sengupta (pictured) as its vice president and branch head for the Chennai operations. Sengupta steps in instead of the former head of the Chennai branch Amarnath Pingalay. Pingalay has recently put in his papers in the organisation.

Said Shiv Sethuraman, CEO, TBWA\India, "While we are sorry to see Amarnath go, the bench strength in the management team is excellent and there can be no better candidate than Arindam for the role. He has done a great job in Bangalore, is respected and liked by all his clients and within the Agency. He is a great guy and I am certain Chennai will benefit from his arrival.”

Commenting about the appointment, Vishal Ahluwalia, senior vice president, South India, TBWA\India says, "This is a significant development for Chennai where we have very important clients like Henkel, Sify & Style Spa, among others. Arindam’s move comes as part of a larger exercise wherein we are consciously creating a richer talent base in the South to meet the needs of our clients there. Arindam comes with extensive experience in handling a wide variety of clients including Unilever. He has been with the agency for over 5 years and successfully led the Disruption charge for clients in Bangalore."

Sengupta has over 12 year of experience in the advertising industry. Prior to joining TBWA\India, he was working with agencies such as Lowe, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mudra. In his career, he has worked across various brands such as Unilever, Tata tea, Indus League, Apple, Spar and Gold Plus.
