Starcom IP gets new India head

Soon after bringing in a national strategy director to India, Starcom IP has announced the appointment of Yuzdi Badhniwalla (pictured) in the newly created position of general manager for India. Based in Mumbai, he will lead Starcom IP teams across India. Badhniwalla will report to Ravi Kiran, CEO South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group and Pushkar Sane, chief digital officer, North & South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group.

Soon after bringing in a national strategy director to India, Starcom IP has announced the appointment of Yuzdi Badhniwalla (pictured) in the newly created position of general manager for India. Based in Mumbai, he will lead Starcom IP teams across India. Badhniwalla will report to Ravi Kiran, CEO South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group and Pushkar Sane, chief digital officer, North & South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group.

Badhniwalla moves from Mauj.com, where he headed the consumer marketing and gaming business. He brings over 10 years of experience spanning media and digital including stints at rediff.com and Times Internet.

Said Pushkar Sane, chief digital officer North and South Asia for Starcom MediaVest Group, “We’re bringing in diverse talent spanning strategy, media, content, analytics, and technology as it will help us in winning the digital game in India. Yuzdi is a fantastic addition to our team as he brings unique experience in both content and media. I’m confident that under his leadership, our digital operation in India will be scaled to greater heights.”

Added Yuzdi Badhniwalla, “I have been tracking Starcom IP’s progress over the last couple of years, so when the opportunity emerged I needed minimal convincing. These are interesting times for the industry and I think we have a unique opportunity to finally get the fair share of advertising budgets for digital. I look forward to leading the team from the front.”
