Prior to this, Vaidya was business Head - Zee TV and COO - National channels for Zee Network

Star India appoints Nitin Vaidya as business head – Hindi Channels

Star India has announced the appointment of Nitin Vaidya as the business head – Hindi Channels, managing Star Plus, Star One, Star Gold and Star Utsav. He will report to Sanjay Gupta, chief operating officer, Star India and will be taking up the position on an immediate basis.

Uday Shankar, chief executive officer, Star India said, “Nitin has deep understanding of the fast changing content environment and has the ability to handle a diverse portfolio of channels. We welcome him aboard and look forward to a great association with him.”
 
Vaidya added, "I am extremely happy to join Star India, the country's largest media and entertainment conglomerate. I do hope to add further value to Star by setting newer benchmarks as we move ahead."
 
Vaidya’s last assignment was business head, Zee TV and chief operating officer, National channels for Zee Network. Having started his career as a journalist in the 90s, he brings with him vast experience of the media business.
