Sports on TV: T20 Cricket World Cup

The weekend is upon us once again and so is the cricketing action. After the completion of the DLF IPL, the action shifts to West Indies, as they host the T20 Cricket World Cup.  There’s plenty for all of us to watch while sipping our drinks this weekend.On Saturday, India will begin its quest for glory when it plays against newcomer Afganistan at 19:00hrs. In the second game of the night, neighbouring country Pakistan lock horns with Bangladesh. This one is live from 22:45hrs.

On Saturday, India will begin its quest for glory when it plays against newcomer Afganistan at 19:00hrs. In the second game of the night, neighbouring country Pakistan lock horns with Bangladesh. This one is live from 22:45hrs.

Its Super Sunday at the world cup as India will play against South Africa at 19:00hrs. After this, Pakistan will play against Australia at 22:45hrs.

All the action is live on STAR Cricket.

Further, there’s top drawer football action.

The Barclays Premier League is reaching its climax and there are just two rounds of games left now. The title race is heating up and this weekends action could go a long way in determining the winners. The battle for the last place for the champions league is also intense, with fourth place contenders playing each other.

On Saturday, Manchester City will play Aston Villa at 19:25hrs on ESPN. Simultaneously, other fourth place contenders, Tottenham Hotspur play Bolton. This game is live on STAR Sports.

On Sunday, there’s the big game at Anfield between Liverpool and Chelsea. A win for Liverpool could end Chelsea’s title dream and gift the title to Manchester United. Kickoff for this one is at 17:55hrs.

In the second big game of the night, Sunderland will host second placed Manchester United. This one kicks off at 20:25hrs.

Both the games are live on ESPN.

For motor-racing fans, there’s the Spanish Moto GP. Catch all the action from Jerez live on STAR Sports on Sunday from 14:30hrs onwards.
