Sharad Haksar's 'Divine Irony' makes it to Communication Arts Photography Annual 2012

Advertising photographer and founder of Chennai-based creative shop 1pointsize, Sharad Haksar, has made it to the Communication Arts Photography Annual again.

The last time his work was featured in the Annual was in 2006.

Five pieces of Haksar's series 'Divine Irony' are featured in the Annual this year, earning him the claim of being the only Asian whose work has made it to the book.

In all, the 2012 Annual features 145 winning entries from 4685 images submitted.

Commenting on the work, Haksar said, “It’s a pictorial commentary on everyday India as seen through the prism of five Hindu deities. Each of the images is a colourful take on the land of 330 million gods. I am glad that it won.”
