Saatchi Delhi bags HCL's tablet biz

In a multi-agency pitch, Saatchi & Saatchi Delhi has been awarded the creative duties of HCL’s tablet business. Draftfcb-Ulka was the incumbent agency.

On the acquisition, Matt Seddon, chief executive officer, Saatchi & Saatchi, India said, “We felt an immediate connection with the team at HCL and are hugely excited about the opportunity to build the ME tablet into a Lovemark.”

Gautam Advani, business unit head - Mobility, HCL Infosystems, said, “The strategy presented by Saatchi & Saatchi was completely in sync with our thinking. The enthusiasm shown by the team was visible in the work presented to us.”

The account size is pegged at Rs 20-25 crores.
