AG Krishnamurthy, founder of Mudra Communications (1980) and MICA (1991), passed away on 5 February 2016.
 
He founded Mudra Communications as its chairman and MD. Krishnamurthy, 74, under whose leadership the lines ‘Only Vimal’ and ‘I love you Rasna’ were born, retired from Mudra in 2003 and founded AGK Brand Consulting.
 
Mudra Communications, in which DDB bought a minority stake in 1988, is today part of Omnicom Group as DDB Mudra Group.
 
Krishnamurthy was also a prolific writer, and has penned several books published in English and Telugu, starting with ‘The Invisible CEO’ (2005) to ‘If you can dream…’ (2013).
