After recently announcing senior management changes in Publicis Ambience, Publicis has announced senior level management restructuring at Publicis India.

With the new structure, Hemant Misra (pictured, left), currently president and COO of Publicis India has been elevated to the level of CEO in the agency. Meanwhile, Madan Mohan (pictured, right) has joined Publicis India as executive vice president for Mumbai.

Speaking about the development, Nakul Chopra, CEO, Publicis South Asia said, "Publicis India has made huge progress over the past 3 years with Hemant at the helm and Emmanuel as his creative partner. It was time not only to reward Hemant for having built a solid agency but also to set the stage for the next three years. Madan will add great strength to our senior team – and I have absolutely no doubt that this team will take us to our ambition of putting Publicis among the top five agencies in India.”

Adds Misra, “I have a wonderful team at Publicis India, a great partner in Emmanuel and a shared dream of building an agency that will attract the best of brands and the best talent in the industry. The first step was to build capability and our next step is to leverage this capability set to grow the agency further.”

Misra has been with Publicis since 2007 and has been associated with clients such as Nestle, HP and L’Oreal among others. His career in advertising includes some high-decibel brand launches in India, including McDonald’s, Nestle Polo and Samsung.

Mohan replaces Dipika Narayan in Mumbai. His last stint was with TBWA\India.

About Mohan's appointment, Misra comments, "Madan Mohan is an entrepreneur at heart and has the capabilities of raising the bar further and helping our team in Mumbai to leap over it.”

Mohan has been associated with brands like DNA, Tata Sky, Coca Cola, BPL Mobile as well as Unilever brands Axe and Rexona.

Regarding his move to Publicis, he says “Publicis has a lot of enviable facets – its client list, its people and its Contagious approach. I figured I’d rather be part of the envy list than envy it from the outside. It’s great to be back in Publicis.”
