Publicis Groupe puts start-ups in focus, brings Drugstore to India
Publicis Groupe has rolled out Drugstore in India. Drugstore is a facility that looks to build relationships between large companies and early stage start-ups for mutual benefit.

This initiative will be driven by executives from Publicis Groupe companies.

The Drugstore India team will be led by Anil K Nair, CEO, Digital L&K | Saatchi & Saatchi. The core team will comprise Sreeraman Thiagarajan (Publicis), Parth Nagar and Aarti Samant (L&K Saatchi & Saatchi), Sanju Menon (Leo Burnett), Suryasen Kundu (MSL Group), and Swapnil Puranik (Razorfish) under the mentorship of Praveen Kenneth, chairman and managing director, L&K Saatchi & Saatchi.

In India, the entity will collaborate with players in the Indian start-up ecosystem for innovation programmes, informed an official statement.

Drugstore will also provide access to start-ups, through physical and cloud-based access, to brand building resources across the Publicis Groupe.

Publicis Groupe has previously launched the Drugstore in London, Sydney, Johannesburg and Zurich. Mumbai gets the first Drugstore edition in Asia.

At the time of the launch in London, Arthur Sadoun, Publicis Worldwide’s chief executive, had said, "Publicis introduced the American Drugstore concept to France in the '50s because we were struck by how consumers benefited from having different businesses together under one roof. Today, this same premise underpins our new innovation offering, so it is fitting that we call it ‘Publicis Drugstore’."
