Prasoon Joshi makes it to Andy Awards jury

Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and regional executive creative director, McCann Erickson (Asia Pacific) has made it to the list of 25 jurors for the Andy Awards. The Awards for the first time, decided to bring innovators from inside and outside the industry together and crowdsource the jury selection process.The Andy Awards are now accepting entries at www.andyawards.com and the final call for work is on January 4, 2010.

Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and regional executive creative director, McCann Erickson (Asia Pacific) has made it to the list of 25 jurors for the Andy Awards.

The Awards for the first time, decided to bring innovators from inside and outside the industry together and crowdsource the jury selection process.

The Andy Awards are now accepting entries at www.andyawards.com and the final call for work is on January 4, 2010.

The past six weeks of voting saw Joshi compete with 99 other nominees from all over the globe. This list also included Piyush Pandey, regional chairman, Ogilvy & Mather and Agnello Dias, founder and chief creative officer, Taproot India.

The results were announced by the Awards co-chairs Ty Monatgue, co-president and chief creative officer, JWT North America and Michael Lebowitz, founder and CEO, of Brooklyn, NY-based digital agency Big Spaceship.

Montague said, "Elect The Jury was an important step for the industry to take. The future of our business involves collaboration, disrupting the traditional way of doing things, and cultivating ideas from around the world from many different disciplines. I think Elect The Jury has us pointed in the right direction."

Gina Grillo, executive director of the Advertising Club of New York and producer of The Andys said, "Besides being a showcase for the best work in the world that engages advertising’s finest talent, The Andy Awards has always evolved with the leadership and passion of the creative community. So for 2010, we wanted to do something that’s never been done by any other award show. Thanks to Ty and Michael, we were able to change the game with Elect The Jury."
