Piyush Pandey to receive CLIO Lifetime Achievement Award

The CLIO Awards have named Piyush Pandey, executive chairman, Ogilvy & Mather India, as the recipient of the 2012 CLIO Lifetime Achievement Award. 

He will be the first person from the region to receive the distinction. He will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 53rd annual CLIO Awards ceremony, taking place on 15 May 2012, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

The CLIO Lifetime Achievement Award recognises outstanding creative contributions of an individual who leads the advertising community forward.

Karl Vontz, director, CLIO, said, “Piyush truly embodies the spirit of this award. He not only possesses wonderful creative vision, but is a great leader who motivates everyone around him with his enthusiasm and passion.  We look forward to celebrating his body of work and his ongoing contributions in the field of advertising.” 

CLIO established its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. Pandey will join the ranks of previous honorees such asTony Kaye, iconic director/cinematographer (2001); David Abbott, co-founder, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO (2002); Neil French,former worldwide creative director, Ogilvy & Mather and WPP (2003); Lee Clow,global director media arts, TBWA Worldwide, (2004);Sir John Hegarty, co-founder, BBH (2005); Bob Greenberg, co-founder and chairman, R/GA (2006); Bob Isherwood, worldwide creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi (2007); Marcello Serpa, partner and general creative director, AlmapBBDO (2008); Dan Wieden, co-founder, Wieden + Kennedy (2009); Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein, co-chairman/creative directors, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners (2010); Joe Pytka, director (2011).
