Orry and Boney Kapoor highlight easy hosted travel in Goa

A light-hearted Goa getaway featuring Orry and Boney Kapoor promotes the value of hosted stays and rising interest in slower Indian travel.

Orry and Boney Kapoor highlight easy hosted travel in Goa

Internet personality Orry (Orhan Awatramani) and film producer Boney Kapoor recently travelled to Goa in a collaboration with Airbnb, creating a reel that reflects India’s growing preference for slower, host-supported holidays. The video, posted on Orry’s Instagram account, opens with Kapoor arriving in Goa for a planned family break, only to learn that the rest of the family will not be joining him. Concerned about managing the trip alone, he appears momentarily unsettled until Orry arrives and reassures him with the line: “Trust the Host.”

The narrative then shifts to the experience of a fully supported stay. Kapoor attempts to keep Orry entertained, but Orry remains unconcerned because the property’s host has organised the essential services. Meals are prepared by a private chef, housekeeping and a caretaker are present throughout, and wellness-oriented experiences such as massages and sound healing are arranged on site. The pair also enjoy sunset drinks overlooking the landscape. What begins as a potentially disorganised holiday becomes a relaxed and structured visit, underscoring the ease of a hosted stay.

The campaign positions hosts as central to Airbnb’s proposition of comfort, connection and care, particularly as Indian travellers show a growing interest in unhurried travel that prioritises meaningful experiences. By presenting the host as the facilitator of a seamless trip, the film aims to reinforce trust in the platform’s community-driven model.

Airbnb’s link with Goa has strengthened over the past year. The company partnered with the Goa Tourism Department to introduce the Goa Unseen Guidebook, which offers recommendations and lesser-known locations to help visitors explore beyond the state’s popular areas.

Through humour and a simple narrative device, the Orry–Kapoor collaboration highlights how attentive hosts can streamline travel planning and enhance guest experience.
