The ninth edition of the IndIAA Awards, organised by the India chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA), saw creative agencies like Ogilvy and Moonshot leading the charge. Underlining its dedication to using creativity as a force for good, the association recognised the best campaigns from July 2023 to June 2024.

Ogilvy took home four awards, while Moonshot secured three, showcasing their strong creative capabilities. Other agencies that garnered accolades included MullenLowe Lintas, tgthr, Talented, Manja, Enormous Brands, Toaster, BBH India, The Script Room, Havas Media, and McCann Worldgroup.

Abhishek Karnani, director of Free Press Journal and chairman of the IndIAA Awards, noted, “The IndIAA Awards stand apart because they don’t rely on entries. The work must speak for itself, just as it does to the consumers it targets. Moreover, the judging is done by senior marketers who have a direct stake in the brands. This brings a valuable perspective from those who are deeply invested in the challenges and objectives of effective advertising.”

This year's awards covered 19 segments, with more than 15 agencies emerging as winners from a pool of over 300 nominees. In some categories, the competition was so tight that joint awards were given.

In the brand category, Colgate-Palmolive won in the ‘Personal Care’ segment, and Swiggy was recognised in the ‘Online Classifieds, Commerce and Services’ category. Google earned a trophy for its ‘Dhoondenge Toh Milega’ campaign, while TVS Motor Company was honoured for the ‘Protect Little Riders’ initiative.

The ‘Voice of Change’ category saw Ogilvy and Talented share the award, highlighting their impactful campaigns. Tempest Advertising received the IAA Cause Related Award for their significant Autism Awareness Campaign.

Jury chairman and CEO and managing director of Hindustan Unilever Limited, Rohit Jawa, expressed his admiration for the event's enduring commitment to impactful advertising. “Today’s marketing world is filled with innovative and fresh ideas, and it’s inspiring to see how storytelling drives not only commercial success but also cultural influence,” he remarked.

The event was supported by partners such as OPEN, Teads, Mobligent Media, The Indian Express, Dinamalar, and Bobble AI. IAA is a global body representing advertisers, advertising agencies, and media outlets. During the course of its eight-decade-long history, it has established a broad international presence, including 56 chapters in 76 countries.
