Ogilvy & Mather bags Style Spa’s creative duties

Chennai-headquartered furniture retailer Style Spa has appointed Ogilvy & Mather as its creative agency following a multi-agency pitch. The pitch was initiated in November 2012. The brand was handled by TBWA India until recently.

Confirming the news to Campaign India, D K Jairath, deputy managing director, Style Spa Furniture, said, “In O&,M we found the kind of communication and branding strategy that we need to adopt at this point of time. We have just started the work on the new campaign and it would take a while before we actually launch the campaign”.

According to Jairath, the brand is yet to take a call on the marketing budget it would set aside for this fiscal. “We are still working on those things. Maybe at the beginning of the next financial year I would be able to throw some light on those details,” he added.

Style Spa, which relied heavily on print media advertisements until then, launched a couple of TVCs in September 2010. The retailer is part of the Adventz Group. Style Spa currently has over 100 exclusive showrooms across 65 cities in India.
