NIOEyes+, an eye care institute in India, has launched a new campaign titled ‘#FrameFreeFuture’ to raise awareness about the safety and effectiveness of modern vision correction treatments. Announced in Pune, the campaign aims to address common misconceptions among patients who are hesitant to opt for procedures that reduce dependence on spectacles and contact lenses.
The institute plans to inform patients about available technologies, safety protocols, and best practices through a combination of on-ground activities and digital communication. The initiative is designed to provide clear, accessible information and encourage individuals to consider treatments based on accurate understanding rather than outdated perceptions.
Dr. Aditya Kelkar, director of NIOEyes+, said: “There are several patients who would like to get rid of their dependence on glasses and contact lenses in their daily lives. But due to a few misconceptions and misunderstanding about the safety of vision correction treatments, we have noticed hesitancy in seeking it. Our hospital has been at the forefront of providing such treatments since 1993. We have helped several patients since then using the latest technology as well as following world class safety protocols. Thereby, we have launched this campaign not only to dispel any fears they may have with regards to such treatments but also get an in-depth understanding of the advances made in this field.”
The campaign will run until February 2026 and includes multiple awareness camps and eye check-ups across Pune. Activities will be held at metro stations, colleges and corporate offices. The institute will also run digital advertising supported by radio spots, social media content and poster campaigns across the city.
Through this integrated approach, NIOEyes+ aims to support young adults, working professionals and other individuals in making informed decisions about achieving reduced dependence on glasses and contact lenses.
