These are new AI Camera Smartglasses from Lenskart, scheduled for launch by the end of December 2025. These glasses are being developed by the company in partnership with Qualcomm.
The company announced it will open the device's AI and camera technology to India's developer ecosystem. This move aims to transform the smartglasses into a platform for utility by enabling seamless integrations with consumer apps across various categories including food delivery and fitness.
Peyush Bansal's Lenskart is currently set for a massive INR 70,000 crore worth IPO listing on the national exchanges. Meanwhile the new brand identity features a logo with a single letter ‘B’ styled as a pair of heavy stylish wayfarer smart glasses.
The first version of the smartglasses are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset and feature an integrated Sony camera for handsfree photo and video capturing. These glasses are also expected to include an AI assistant powered by Gemini 2.5 Live, enabling features like handsfree UPI payments, live translation, and personal health insights. The device emphasises everyday wearability, weighing 40 grams, which is positioned as significantly lighter than competing smartglasses.
How does this position Lenskart as the country's indigenous eyewear brand?
The B by Lenskart smartglasses' brand creates a new, highly personalised and contextual advertising medium within the nascent wearable computing space. The integrated camera and AI assistant, powered by Gemini 2.5 Live can gather realtime, onsite and hyperlocal data (visual and auditory) to enable unprecedented levels of contextual ad targeting and in the moment promotions.
This initiative positions Lenskart to capture significant value in the growing global smartglasses market, estimated to reach $4–5 billion (INR400-500 crores) by 2030, by building India’s first fullstack wearables ecosystem.
