It's quarterfinal time this weekend at the FIFA World Cup. Along with this, there's plenty more coming your way on your television.

The action from South Africa begins from 19:30 hours on Friday when Brazil play Netherlands in the first quarterfinal. The second game of the night features the surprise package from Africa: Ghana take on Uruguay. This game kicks off at midnight.

On Saturday, in a match that could be mistaken for being the final, Diego Maradona's Argentina take on Germany at 19:30 hours. In the second game, which kicks off at midnight, favourites Spain take on Paraguay. All the games are live on ESPN.

Further, there's tennis action from Wimbledon for tennis fans. The only Grand Slam to be played on grass reaches its final stages over the weekend. With Roger Federer out of the Slam before the finals for the first time since 2002, it will be very interesting to see who could take the fight to Rafael Nadal. The men's final is on Sunday from 18:00 hours onwards, live on STAR Sports. Over in the women's singles, Vera Zvonareva from Russia, having made it to her first Wimbledon final, will be up against it when she takes on world number one, Serena Williams.

In cricket, there's the Natwest ODI series between arch rivals England and Australia going on. Australia will be playing to salvage some pride, as they have already lost the 5 match ODI series, 3-1.
