Mukesh Ambani is Chitralekha Person of the Year

Industrialist Mukesh Ambani has been named the Chitralekha Person of the Year for 2007 by Chitralekha magazine.“Chitralekha Person of the Year, based on a very scientific research design conducted by one of India’s most reputed market research firms truly reflects the mood of thousands of Gujaratis. In its third year, it has thrown up winners from various fields who have excelled in public life and contributed to the society at large,”said Mitrajit Bhattacharya, publisher and president, Chitralekha.

Industrialist Mukesh Ambani has been named the Chitralekha Person of the Year for 2007 by Chitralekha magazine.

Reliance Industries which has interests as diverse as petrochemicals, textiles and retail among others, employs over 85,000 employees across the country. Last year, India’s then president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was chosen as the Chitralekha Person of the year. Other nominees for the award included Prime Minister, Dr.Manmohan Singh, President, Pratibha Patil, Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and actor Shahrukh Khan among others.
