Ministry of Mines, Government of India, is on the hunt for a new social media agency and is inviting expressions of interest.

Campaign understands from sources that the pitch is currently underway in New Delhi and the selected agency will be onboarded for a period of one year. The applicant agency must have prior experience in working for publicly-listed companies within the last three years.

The scope of work for the chosen agency will be to handle Ministry’s social media presence including and not limited to, script writing, communications through social media channels on behalf of the Ministry, event management, influencer marketing, viral promotion, response management, monitoring and reporting.

The agency will also be given the mandate of public relations and will be expected to draft press briefs and hand their distribution, alongside writing content for Ministry’s in-house magazine and e-books.

Spearheaded by minister Prahlad Joshi, the Ministry of Mines is responsible for the survey and exploration of all minerals, other than natural gases, petroleum and atomic minerals, for mining and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, gold, nickel, etc. and for the administration of the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 in respect of all mines and minerals other than coal, natural gas and petroleum.
