Mediaedge:cia (MEC) has appointed Rashna Pochkhanawala (pictured) as national director, MEC Interaction, the agency’s digital arm.
Pochkhanawala will report to T Gangadhar, managing director, MEC India and Ben Poole, head of MEC Interaction, Asia Pacific. She moves from Hungama Digital Media Entertainment where she was general manager, digital.
“Rashna's primary mandate will be to drive and grow MEC's digital offering - in terms of both revenue and exciting new interactive ideas,” says Gangadhar.
Pochkhanawala has around 12 years of experience in the digital space and has worked in companies such as IT Nation and UTV. “MEC Interaction is a dynamic and a fast growing agency and the move will help me further hone my digital skills,” said Pochkhanawala. “Also, I have always been on the publisher’s side till now. I am looking forward to working on the other side of the fence.”
The post of national director, MEC Interaction, was previously held by Vamsi Vanka who quit this September to join an online Internet marketing company, Acmic Interactive.
