Marks & Spencer India gets new marketing head

Marks & Spencer Reliance India (Marks & Spencer India) has appointed Nandini Sethuraman as head-marketing. Sethuraman (pictured) will be based out of Gurgaon and will report to chief executive Mark Ashman. In her new role, she will be responsible for all marketing, corporate communications and CSR initiatives.

Marks & Spencer Reliance India (Marks & Spencer India) has appointed Nandini Sethuraman as head-marketing. Sethuraman (pictured) will be based out of Gurgaon and will report to chief executive Mark Ashman. In her new role, she will be responsible for all marketing, corporate communications and CSR initiatives.

Speaking about Sethuraman's appointment, Ashman said, "I'm delighted to welcome Nandini to our leadership team. Her international marketing experience, along with her knowledge of the Indian consumer will enable Marks & Spencer to successfully position its brand for the Indian market."

Commenting on her appointment, Sethuraman said, "I am very pleased to be joining Marks & Spencer India at a time when the company has ambitious plans here. Marks & Spencer is an iconic retailer with a unique product offer and a set of brand values that carries global equity. I look forward to being a part of the team that will build this unique brand in the Indian market."

Sethuraman joins Marks & Spencer India from Spencer's Retail. Her mandate at Spencer's Retail included spearheading repositioning and visual identity initiatives, and also to build Spencer's Private Label program.

She has spent over 15 years in the field of marketing and has worked with companies such as IKEA, Pepsico and Hershey's in markets such as Canada, the Middle East and India. She holds an MBA from California, and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
