Law & Kenneth appoints Sanjib Dey as COO

Sanjib Dey has joined Law & Kenneth India as chief operating officer, and will be responsible in expanding the agency’s business in Delhi. Dey moved out of Saatchi & Saatchi in early January, where he served as president of the agency.

Explaining the appointment of Dey as COO, Anil Nair, chief executive officer and managing partner, Law & Kenneth India, said, “As a market, for the last couple of years, Delhi has been the most promising market in terms of business as far as we are concerned. Whether it is the growing rate in the existing business or for newer business leads, it is an extremely crucial market. As Law & Kenneth is based out of Mumbai, we felt the need for an equally capable leader who can become a port of call for all our present and future clients, as well as lead the expansion of business. That’s why we were very particular about hiring someone who has experience of handling big brands and built businesses and branches.”

Dey has already taken charge at the Delhi office, and the agency is expected to announce new business wins and senior talent acquisitions in the coming weeks.

Starting his career with Chennai-based Fountainhead Communications in 1993, Dey moved to Everest, Delhi. Following his first tenure with Saatchi & Saatchi in 2000, Dey had stints with Enterprise Nexus (now Bates 141), Grey Worldwide, Capital and Lowe over the next few years. He joined back Saatchi & Saatchi in 2007 and was appointed as president in 2009.
