JWT’s Sabuj Sengupta moves to Dentsu Creative Impact

JWT India’s Sabuj Sengupta has joined Dentsu Creative Impact from July 1. In his role as senior vice president and executive creative director, he will be heading creative for the agency. At JWT, he was associate vice president and senior creative director. Sengupta will be reporting to Junichi Minohara, chief operating officer, Dentsu Creative Impact.

Confirming the move and his reasons for joining the agency, Sengupta said, “Dentsu is going through a lot of good changes. It offered me a bigger role and better opportunities. I love cars. One of my key clients at the agency will be Maruti, something I am very excited about. My agenda will be to raise the bar in creative and hopefully win some metals next year.”

 

Prior to JWT, Sengupta has also worked with Contract and Bates. During his stint at Contract from 1997 to 2000, he was handling NIIT, Dabur-Lal Tail, Effarelle, Real, Shell, Park Hotel, DS Foods (Pass Pass, Catch Spring Water), SIAM, PVR and Tata Telecom. He moved to Bates in 2000, and during his seven year stint there, some of the notable accounts that he worked on included Hyundai, Nokia, Indian Airlines, Shell, Carrier ACs and Dabur. Moving to JWT in 2007, he handled Sony (Vaio, Bravia, Cybershot, Walkman, Handycam), Mountain Dew, Hero Honda, Pepsi (corporate), Tropicana, Aquafina, Gaitorade, Unitech and Tacobell.
