Jitender Dabas elevated to the position of executive vice president planning

Jitender Dabas who joined McCann Erickson Delhi in January 2011 from JWT has been elevated to the position of executive vice president, planning.

Commenting on the elevation, Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and chief executive officer, McCann Worldgroup India and president, South Asia said, “I am happy to announce that in addition to his current responsibilities Jitender Dabas now as executive vice president, planning shall also oversee the planning function of our Bangalore office. Jitender has demonstrated extraordinary commitment and passion apart from sheer skill  in understanding of brands and shaping up a formidable strategic planning team in our Delhi operations in a short span of time. And  I am positive that  he will bring tremendous value to our Bangalore  clients and operations as well. This elevation is well deserved".

Dabas had earlier taken over from Sandip Mahapatra as head of its planning function.

Dabas has spent the last 15 years in the advertising and communication industry. Starting as an account management executive with FCB Ulka, he moved on to strategic planning with Grey.
