Jindal Foundation launches Her Kadam to highlight empowerment of women

Jindal Foundation has launched HerKadam, a nationwide campaign by the women, for the women, consolidating all of the Foundation’s women-focused programmes under a single platform. The initiative recognises the empowerment of over 2.7 million women across India through efforts in health, education, digital literacy, skill development, livelihoods, and entrepreneurship.

As part of the launch, the Foundation released the HerKadam brand film, an evocative portrayal of women driving change at the community level. Using real-life visuals from the field, the film captures stories of resilience, ambition, skill-building, and transformation. It conveys the message that nothing is beyond a woman’s reach, from threading a needle to building an airplane.

The campaign emphasises that each woman’s progress creates a legacy, uplifting her family, strengthening her community, and influencing future generations. Every step she takes—‘Her Kadam’—represents progress not just for herself but for those around her.

Through programmes such as Kishori Express, Vatsalya, Yashasvi, Anjor Digital Literacy, Swawlamban, and Aakriti, the Foundation continues to create pathways for women to develop skills, gain independence, and achieve sustainable livelihoods. HerKadam aims to showcase the collective impact of women’s efforts while inspiring further participation and advancement in communities across India.
