IndIAA Awards 2023: Leo Burnett, MullenLowe Lintas Group, Ogilvy dominate with three wins each

BBDO (two), DDB Mudra (two), TBWA (two), Grey Group, Kehat Kabira Pictures, McCann Worldgroup, Publicis Worldwide, Rediffusion, SG Media, Talented, The Script Room, The Womb and Tilt Brand Solutions also among winners

IndIAA Awards 2023: Leo Burnett, MullenLowe Lintas Group, Ogilvy dominate with three wins each
Winners of the eighth edition of the IndIAA Awards were announced in Mumbai on 3 September at which 25 campaigns bagged wins across 19 categories.
 
Leo Burnett, MullenLowe Lintas Group and Ogilvy bagged three wins each.
 
Leo Burnett's wins came for Spotify's 'Mood Tab Hi Banega Jab Spotify Chalega' in the 'Entertainment Media' category, HDFC Life's 'Salary After Retirement' in the 'Insurance' category and Cleartrip's 'Clear Advantage' in the 'Travel Tourism and Hospitality' category.
 
MullenLowe Lintas Group's three wins were split across the 'Automotive and Accessories', 'Consumer Durables and Utilities' and 'Consumer Electronics' categories. The wins came for Suzuki Jimny, Samsonite and HP India respectively.
 
Ogilvy's victories on the night were for Brooke Bond Red Label (India's Social Network) in the 'F&B' category, Asian Paints (Say No To Leakages) in the 'Home Decor, Infrastructure and Fittings' category, and Dove (#StopTheBeautyTest 2022) in the 'Personal Care' category.
 
BBDO India, DDB Mudra and TBWA bagged a total of two wins each.
 
BBDO's wins were for Ariel's 'Share The Load - See The Signs' in the 'Home Care, Essentials, and Misc' category, and Milkbasket's '12 am tak order, 7am tak deliver) in the 'Online Classifieds, Commerce and Services' category.
 
DDB Mudra also won in the 'Online Classifieds, Commerce and Services' category, for its entry titled 'Hire Better' for Indeed. The other win came for Stayfree's 'This Daughter's Day Tell Your Son It's Just a Period' in the 'Voice of Change' category.
 
TBWA India's wins were for TVS Ronin's 'Unscripted' (Automotives and Accessories) and Lead's 'Tab Jaake Bachche Kuch Ban Paate Hain' (Education and Learning).
 
Suresh Narayanan, jury chairperson, and chairperson and managing director, Nestle India, said, "In my fifth year as the jury chair, I feel intimately acquainted with this room and honoured to be among some of the greatest creative minds in the country- – advertising gurus, communication experts, and marketing wizards. 
 
Avinash Pandey, president IAA, and CEO, ABP Network, added, “It's been an intriguing year for arguably the most active industry association of its kind. We've demonstrated that our industry can be a catalyst for change, particularly in breaking gender bias. We celebrate the winners reflecting the growing synergy between associations and showcasing the remarkable impact of the communication industry." 
 
Abhishek Karnani, chairperson, IndIAA Awards, said, “IAA Awards are unique because you can't 'enter' them.” A group of seasoned journalists shortlisted 102 campaigns across 19 categories from over a thousand ads. This accomplishes two important goals- first, it ensures that only genuine work is presented to the jury, keeping scam ads at bay, second, it truly democratises the creative process by not charging an entry fee, making fundraising for this grand event a challenging task.
