Huffpost India shuts operations

Announcement comes on the back of a recent deal between Buzzfeed and Huffpost globally which didn't include India

Huffpost India has shut down its operations with effect from 24 November 2020. The announcement was made by its editor-in-chief, Aman Sethi.

The India website url asks users to visit the global website Huffpost.com for content. 

The announcement comes after last week's announcement of Buzzfeed acquiring Huffpost globally. According to reports, Brazil and India were kept out of the deal. Huffpost Brazil is currently active.
