Huawei conducts live digital activity to showcase Honor’s battery life

Smartphone manufacturer Huawei recently concluded a social media activity called ‘test of honor’ to highlight the battery capacity of yet-to-be-launched Honor 4X phone. The premise was to ask people to participate in the campaign to drain phone’s battery to win a smartphone.

The activity was conceptualised and executed by 22feet Tribal Worldwide.

22feet Tribal Worldwide set up a live Youtube feed via http://www.hihonor.in/testofhonor/, where they showed the phone. Viewers were encouraged to call the number on display. As per the activity, the feed was supposed to run till 8 pm today (12 March) or till the battery lasted. The last person to call before either of the two conditions lapsed, would win a free phone. The feed lasted for 20 hours.

Speaking about the campaign, Wang Gudong, president, India Device Business Department, Huawei, said, “Our strategy is to offer the best-in-class smartphones offering the best technology, design and user-interface, to offer unmatched value to our customers. We will be promoting the Honor brand via exciting 360-degree marketing campaigns. We plan to aggressively grow our market share in India in 2015 and will be launching some smartphones in the coming month which will be followed by other exciting new models.”

Launched in October 2014, Honor is an independent Internet Smart Phone brand under Huawei Terminals
