Hindustan Times has joined hands with the personalised video news app, editorji, for extensive  video coverage of the general elections 2019. Hindustan Times and editorji have been working on programming that will give viewers an alternative to TV news.
 
Shows that are being done by editorji, including interviews and ground reports are being showcased on Hindustan Times properties, including the website, mobile sites and social media feeds. Hindustan Times is creating unique playlists that are running on the editorji app. The two teams are also developing special shows together, that feature Hindustan Times content teams and are anchored by media veteran Vikram Chandra.
 
On the counting day of the general election (May 23, 2019), editorji will rollout comprehensive live coverage, hosted by Vikram Chandra with a panel comprising of Hindustan Times’ top political journalists, eminent politicians, political analysts and data experts. 
 
Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha, chief content officer for HT Digital said, “Hindustan Times has always been at the forefront of innovation. We strive to constantly bring our users the best experience and new initiatives and are very excited to partner with editorji and election veteran Vikram Chandra for a unique digital only coverage of election 2019 counting day. “
 
Vikram Chandra, founder, editorji said, “My first memory of election results was standing in front of the Hindustan Times building in 1977, watching the results go up on a giant scoreboard. It is a matter of great pleasure and pride to now work on the 2019 General Elections in partnership with HT. We look forward to making May 23rd the largest ever digital only election counting show.”
