Himanshu Saxena takes expanded mandate across Saatchi & Saatchi, BBH and Propagate

Publicis Groupe India has announced an expanded mandate for BBH India managing director Himanshu Saxena, who will now also serve as president – North & East for Saatchi & Saatchi India and Propagate. The move is aimed at strengthening leadership across the North and East markets and supporting clients with more connected solutions across the Groupe’s creative agencies.

In his enlarged role, Saxena will be based in the Gurugram office while continuing to lead BBH India nationally. He will remain aligned with the Groupe’s integrated structure and will continue reporting to Paritosh Srivastava, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi India, BBH India and Propagate.

Saxena will anchor leadership across the North and East with a consolidated team that includes Hindol Purkayastha, evp – North & East India, Nisheeth Srivastava, senior executive creative director, and Ankit Sharma, evp – planning. This combined leadership is expected to streamline decision-making, enhance creative output and support clients through unified brand thinking across Saatchi & Saatchi India, BBH India and Propagate.

The alignment is designed to support Publicis Groupe India’s ‘Power of One’ proposition in the region, enabling clients to access integrated capabilities spanning creative, digital and media. By strengthening collaboration between agency teams, the Groupe aims to deliver more cohesive brand strategies and a tighter connection between consumer insight, creative development and channel execution. This structure is positioned to help brands access deeper expertise while ensuring consistency across regional and national mandates.

Saxena brings more than three decades of experience across advertising, marketing and sales, brand management, digital and social, PR, design and market research. Since joining Publicis Groupe India in 2022 as managing director of BBH India, he has worked across integrated campaigns and contributed to the agency’s creative and strategic output. His work spans categories including consumer goods, technology, automotive and services, with a focus on solutions that drive measurable business results.

Commenting on the expanded leadership structure, Srivastava said, “Given the significance and size of the North and East markets, and the strong client relationships that Publicis Groupe India has fostered here, we’re committed to doubling down on the region. We already have a solid presence and valuable partnerships, and this leadership nucleus will help us further harness the power of the Groupe’s capabilities and become a dominant creative force in the region. With this leadership bench, we’re bringing together the scale, depth and quality needed to unlock the next wave of growth. We’re confident that this unified structure will deliver greater value and more integrated impact for brands navigating today’s rapidly evolving landscape.”

Saxena added, “With our combined creative and digital strengths, we’re uniquely positioned to deliver connected, end-to-end solutions that drive real business impact for our clients. I look forward to working alongside Paritosh and the teams to strengthen our regional capabilities, drive integrated growth, and deliver powerful solutions that help our clients win.”

The expanded role is expected to further consolidate Publicis Groupe India’s presence in key northern and eastern markets, enabling the Groupe to strengthen its foothold in sectors where demand for integrated, multi-disciplinary marketing solutions continues to rise.
