Godrej launches ‘Accidental Invitation’ initiative under Har Ghar Surakshit 2025

Locks & Architectural Solutions (LAS), a business unit within the Godrej Enterprises Group, has announced the expansion of its 'Har Ghar Surakshit' (Every home's safety) initiative as it enters its ninth year. The scale-up supports LAS’s strategy to accelerate growth in the smart home segment through a strengthened digital locks portfolio. The brand aims to democratise smart security for mass-premium consumers by prioritising design and price innovation across its made-in-India digital lock range. Godrej has recorded 35% growth in the category, maintaining a leading position in the market.

As part of Har Ghar Surakshit 2025, the company has introduced the Accidental Invitation App, a digital tool designed to educate users on the security risks linked to online oversharing. Developed with support from Meta, the app provides a personalised ‘Accidental Invitation Score’ and customised safety recommendations. The campaign, created using AI, includes films depicting real-life scenarios to highlight how online behaviour can compromise household security and the importance of mindful digital habits.

India has seen social media-related cybercrimes nearly triple over the past five years, making digital safety a growing priority. In response, Godrej has launched the Neo Digital Locks Range, representing its latest advancement in accessible smart-home security. The range includes models with built-in video door phones, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, multiple access modes, anti-theft alarms and emergency power backup. With prices starting at INR8,999, the range is positioned for urban consumers seeking convenience and reliable security.

Shyam Motwani, business head, LAS, Godrej Enterprises Group, said Har Ghar Surakshit has championed shared responsibility for home safety and that the Accidental Invitation App extends this mission to digital spaces. He added that the Neo Digital Locks Range strengthens the company’s role in defining intelligent security for modern households.

To date, Har Ghar Surakshit has conducted over 1.7 lakh home safety check-ups, including more than 21,000 in FY26. The initiative continues to support adoption of smart safety and digital lock solutions, contributing to double-digit category growth and reinforcing Godrej’s market leadership. The introduction of the Neo Digital Locks Range is expected to further expand the brand’s presence in India’s growing smart home sector.
