In its third year, the festival has brought on board Bang Bang Films' Roopak Saluja as a jury member

Entries open for Ciclope International Advertising Craft Festival 2012

Entries are open for Ciclope International Advertising Craft Festival 2012, scheduled for 5 to 8 November 2012 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The festival will feature seminars and workshops spread over the four days, and will be followed by the awards ceremony on 8 November.

The festival, aimed at celebrating craft skills in advertising, is in its third year, and is reaching out for participation from India.

Entries, which were publicly broadcast between 11 June 2011 and 10 September 2012, are eligible for the awards. There are five categories: Live Action, Specials, Sounds, Animation and Digital (and several sub-categories). The last date for submission of entries is 14 September 2012.

Commenting on the festival's plans and focus on the Indian market, Francisco Condorelli, chief executive officer, Ciclope Festival, said, “I find this extremely interesting for both parts: for India, being such a booming market, it´s a great opportunity to have international exposure among top agencies and production companies. And for the festival, it will be a great way to have one of the more interesting countries of the last years, in terms of creativity and craft.”

“We are also organising a special panel discussion called 'How to Understand India', in which the speakers will explain what´s really going on in this market. The panel will be led by Roopak and other guests (to be confirmed),” he added.

Roopak Saluja, founder and chief executive officer, Bang Bang Films and Jack in the Box Worldwide, is the Indian representative on the jury.

Organisers informed that the judges will award one Grand Prix, followed by the Gold, Silver, Bronze and the Finalists. There will also be an award for ‘Best Production Company’, ‘Best VXF Company’, ‘Best Production Services Company’, ‘Best Music Company’, ‘Best Digital Company’, and ‘Best Country’.
