Colors to unveil its afternoon line-up in January

Looking to usher in the New Year with a big bang, Colors has announced a new line-up of shows including a game show, to be hosted by Abhishek Bachchan.

In the coming month, Colors will make a foray into the afternoon band with a bouquet of shows targeting 25 yrs+ women across various segments. “Now that our prime time is settled and going from strength to strength, especially with the launch of two new shows: Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam, we are rolling out our afternoon band with soaps targeting women. The content will be bolder than prime-time shows as women are alone and ready for something more open,” said Ashvini Yardi, programming head of Colors. The afternoon band is being branded as ‘Sanjhi Dophar'.

The channel has also lined up world television premiere of movies such as Dev D and Do Knot Disturb for the coming month. Added Yardi, “"After having a fantastic 2009, we wanted to gift our audiences something really nice for the New Year. Hence, the month of January will see a lot of excitement and celebratory cheer with 2009's biggest blockbusters being shown on the channel. Also, we are launching an amazing new show which will have everyone going 'Bingo' to Abhishek's charm. Also, afternoons are never going to be the same anymore with our latest afternoon offering, 'Sanjhi Dophar' with our pick of best shows.”
