Co-founders of The Hungry Fish join Maxus Digital

Deepak Sasikumar joins in Mumbai as business director while Raunaq Sikka moves in as creative director; The Hungry Fish will cease to exist

Deepak Sasikumar and Raunaq Sikka, co-founders of digital outfit The Hungry Fish, have joined Maxus Digital. They will be based in the Mumbai office, which handles Fiat, World Gold Council, Tata Sky and Vodafone, among others. The Hungry Fish will cease to exist with this development.

Sasikumar and Sikka started the independent digital agency in 2010. Prior to which Sasikumar worked at agencies such as JWT and BC Web Wise, while Sikka had stints at Leo Burnett and BC Web Wise.

On the appointments, Unny Radhakrishnan, head of digital, Maxus South Asia, said, “It is great to have both Deepak and Raunaq on board. Over the last couple of years we have evolved from a digital media agency to a complete digital marketing solutions team with significantly large assignments and along the way attracting some great talent. This is going to further strengthen our offerings.”

Sasikumar, who joins as business director, Maxus Digital, said, “Apart from having a long standing relationship with GroupM over the years, what really made our decision easy was Maxus’s tremendous focus on the digital medium.
